Terms of Use

Welcome to NormanMD.

This application ("Site") and related services are provided by NormanMD, in cooperation with Austin Regional Clinic. NormanMD is not an insurance plan. NormanMD is a web-based service that enables access to telemedicine and medical advice from in-state physicians or advanced practice clinicians (APCs) to those residing in, and visiting, the state of Texas.

Use of any of the NormanMD websites or platforms constitutes your acceptance of these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, you should cease all use of and access to all of the websites and platforms.


Subscription and Registration

Account

Texas rules and regulations require that you must be physically located within Texas to receive telemedicine care. You will be asked to register an account and create login information, including without limitation, username and passwords. To safeguard your privacy, please do not share your login information with anyone. You must immediately notify Customer Service of any unauthorized use of your user account or of any other breach of security that you become aware of involving and relating to the platforms during office hours (M-F, 8am - 5pm CT) by phone to 512-421-5678.

Membership Access

Use of the service may be a benefit afforded to members of a health insurance plan, an employer group or another business agreement by which the user has access to the web-based platform without paying an additional fee for that access.

If this applies to you, when registering, please use the name and date of birth given to your health insurance plan or employer. If you are directed to a payment screen, please do not move forward and contact NormanMD Customer Service at 512-421-5678 during office hours (M-F, 8am - 5pm CT).

Paid Access

If you do not have membership access you may purchase access to services. Access is available once your credit card information has been verified during registration. Depending on the plan selected, fees may be processed as a one-time charge or billed monthly on a subscription basis.

"One-time fee" plans are charged in full at purchase with access to services expiring as follows:

  • 72-hr Access plan: 72 hours from date of purchase
  • Individual/Family 365-plan: 365 days from date of purchase.

Monthly subscription plan fees are charged at the time of purchase, then are automatically renewed monthly on the same day of the month the plan was initiated. Please review our Billing Policies for a detailed billing schedule.

Refunds/Cancellations

There are no full nor partial refunds issued for paid access. You may cancel your monthly subscription plans at any time. If canceling, you will retain access to NormanMD services through the end of the plan period and your subscription will not auto-renew.


Availability of the Site

NormanMD makes reasonable efforts to keep the Site operational. If the Site is unavailable, please know that efforts are underway to restore availability ASAP.

If you require timely assistance, contact Customer Service, M-F, 8am-5pm, at 512-421-5678. During after hours, if you have an immediate healthcare need and cannot connect to NormanMD, please contact your primary care provider's office. If you are an Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) patient, please contact ARC After Hours Nurse Line at 512-346-6611, option 4.


Telemedicine Physicians or APCs and Prescriptions

Your interaction with the physicians or APCs of NormanMD does not replace your relationship with your primary care physician. NormanMD does not guarantee that a prescription will be written. NormanMD physicians and APCs do not prescribe DEA controlled substances, non-therapeutic drugs, and certain other drugs which may be harmful because of their potential abuse.


Privacy Statement

Austin Regional Clinic reserves the right to collect general information regarding usage and users of this web site (including, without limitation, the name of the domain of each user, the IP protocol number of each user, and the date and time each web page was visited).

We also use cookies to offer you a better browsing experience, analyze site traffic, personalize content, and serve targeted advertisements. If you continue to use this site, you consent to our use of cookies.


Account Deactivation

Users are expected to refrain from abusive, unethical, harassing, or offensive communication. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • misrepresenting who is speaking to the physician or APC
  • multiple requests for controlled medications and/or medications that have been deemed medically inappropriate.
  • knowingly providing false medical information
  • use of profane language

Inappropriate behavior may result in account deactivation.

If you violate these Terms of Use, your access to any NormanMD accounts and your history on the service will be subject to review. Final decisions on violations may range from temporary suspension up to and including deactivation of your account. All decisions will be communicated prior to any changes in access.
