I knew at a young age that I wanted to be a pediatrician - a career with the sole focus of helping children and rooted in science. As a pediatrician, it's the enduring relationships I have built with the children, family, and communities I have the privilege of caring for that keep me going. These deeply human connections and commitment to service make being a pediatrician the best job on earth. My role is to partner with a child and their family, bringing my expertise to each unique situation in order to improve a child’s health and well-being. Every interaction, from newborn to adolescence, is a chance for me to listen and learn. Some families need information, others need answers, while others need reassurance.
